Department of Quality Management

Head:  Marek Bugdol, associate professor at the Jagiellonian University

The Quality Management Unit conducts research into the social and economic aspects of the functioning of quality management systems and various quality-oriented concepts (including the philosophy of Total Quality Management – TQM).

Such research comprises, among others:

  • the questions of effectiveness and efficiency of quality management systems based on the ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001 standards,
  • social conditions for the implementation of modern management concepts in industrial and service enterprises,
  • human resources management in TQM,
  • self-evaluation models; quality methods, techniques and tools,
  • quality management in public administration,
  • the significance of organizational values and behaviour.
